I want you to be as prepared as possible for your session day, so here is what will happen throughout the entire process. Let’s dive into this fun and easy breakdown of what to expect from start to finish after you’ve booked your session with me!

What Happens Next?
Get ready for a little celebration! After booking, I’ll reach out to you for a friendly chat. This is where I get to know you and your awesome family. We’ll talk about what makes your crew unique, your favorite activities, and any special ideas you’ve got in mind for the shoot. Think of it as a mini party planning session—except the party is all about you and your loved ones! You can get as detailed as you wish, or you can only answer a few of the most important questions. It’s up to you, but the more info I have, the better prepared I will be. This will be in form of a questionnaire!
Location, Location, Location
Next up, we’ll pick the perfect spot to capture your family’s magic. This is probably one of my most favorite parts. It means were getting closer to capturing those giggles and hugs. Whether it’s your backyard, a park where your kids love to play, or a desert landscape with a killer sunset, we’ll find a location that makes everyone feel at home. Not sure where to go? No problem! I’ve got a list of favorite spots that are picture-perfect for any vibe you’re going for.
Outfit Fun (No Stress, I Promise!)
Worried about what everyone’s going to wear? Let’s turn that worry into fun! I’ll send over some style tips through my style guide to help you coordinate without driving yourself crazy. I will find you outfits and send you links, make vision boards with combos, or send you examples of outfits with colors. Think of colors that work well together and outfits that let everyone’s personality shine. And here’s a secret: the most important thing is that everyone feels comfortable and confident. Bonus points for twirling potential!
Leading up and ready to go!
About a week before your session, I’ll send a prep email with additional tips to help the day run smoothly. I will ask you if you need any additional support with outfits or even to send me a photo of your outfits, just so we can be sure everything is looking right. I also send a reminder e-mail before your session with directions to the location if needed.
The Big Day: Let the Fun Begin!
It’s showtime! On the day of your session, it’s all about having a blast and making memories. This is a time to relax and enjoy your family, and not worry about trying to discipline. The kids are in charge! I’ll be there to capture every laugh, hug, and silly face. Don’t worry about getting every pose “just right”—the best moments are often the ones that happen naturally. I’ll guide you through with fun prompts and games to keep everyone smiling and relaxed.
The Editing Magic
This is where the magic happens! I’ll work on editing your photos, bringing out the best in every shot. My goal is to create images that are as vibrant and full of life as your family. The editing process takes a little time because I want every photo to be picture-perfect. You'll get a preview gallery within 3 weeks where you can see all the edited photos and select which images you want to keep forever. Or you are also welcome to upgrade to all the photos in your gallery so you don’t have to make any tough choice.
Gallery Delivery: The Big Reveal
Ding, ding! Your online gallery is ready! I’ll send you a link where you can view and download all your beautiful images. This is the part where you get to relive the fun of the shoot, see those sweet smiles, and maybe shed a happy tear or two. Feel free to share your gallery with family and friends—they’re going to love it! You will have plenty of time to download your images and order all the professional quality prints you need.
Print It Out and Show It Off
Your photos deserve to be seen and loved, not just kept on your phone. Whether you’re thinking of framing a few for the wall, creating a photo book, or designing a gallery wall, I’m here to help you choose the best way to showcase your images. After all, these memories are worth showing off!
